CHILDREN AT RISK Texas Tour: El Paso Stop
Friday, October 23, 2026 | 10:00–11:30 AM (MT)
YWCA Rogers – Joyce Jaynes Branch, 1600 Brown Street, Building B, El Paso, TX 79902
Each fall, CHILDREN AT RISK (C@R) hosts community conversations in 12 Texas cities to gather local insight on the challenges and opportunities facing children, families, and the child care workforce. El Paso's stop will feature local data on child care deserts, including C@R's new "chronic desert" measure, and child care quality investments. Participants will also hear updates on the Texas Sunset Advisory Commission review, the Governor's Task Force on Early Childhood Education and Care, and community-informed priorities for the 90th Texas Legislature. Feedback from each stop helps shape C@R's recommendations to state leaders, so we encourage providers, educators, families, and partners to attend and share their perspectives.
